Absolutely unique ceramic stoneware for your home and kitchen. At Kittery Point Potters, form and function unite to create art for daily living! All of our functional stoneware pottery is hand-thrown at a potter's wheel, meticulously glazed, and kiln-fired to over 2200 degrees F on-site in our coastal studios. This creates a vitrified stone body that is dishwasher safe and durable enough to last a lifetime. Each object is absolutely unique, with all the beautiful variations and imperfections one expects from an object formed by the union of hand, heart, and nature's elements. Echoing the black slate in our native rock ledges here in southern Maine, black clay grounds this series of sake cups, tea bowls, and sake flask. 🍶 Textural glazes in shades of charcoal breaking to brown with cobalt accents contribute to a balanced, natural feel in the hand.
Water and earth. Watery dark ocean blues and greens accented by a matte blue/gray that mirrors our local slate deposits. Sake set with small sake cups and flask.
One of our most popular pattern, we are bringing on the Spring vibes with vases, bowls, and coffee cups in this pastel and earthy gray color way. Mimicking the inside of an oyster shell at Seapoint here in Kittery Point, these all coordinate together. Great en masse or as a standalone vessel.
Rich warm greens form the base of this series of noodle bowls. Swirling ivory and blue accents highlight the series, like the bright blue Maine sky against an algae covered pond.
Hand crafted pottery chawan tea bowls for use in all your tea rituals, carefully crafted in our coastal Maine studio. This colorway features a slightly ribbed texture with textural glazes in coastal shades of blue and sandy beige and ivory, with a dark speckle burning through from the clay body. It echoes the ripples of water and sand formations encircling tide pools on our local beaches.

Clay body has a deep black speckle that highlights the organic nature of the chawan. Individually hand made in our coastal Maine studio, this bowl will earn prime placement in your own tea ritual.
One of a kind speckled pottery stoneware mugs and bowls in our coastal light blue and soft green color way, direct from our studio on the Maine coast. Each item is hand crafted and individual. Overlapping bands and drips of sapphire blue, sage green, and light blue blend and merge like the incoming tide. An olive band anchors the color way, like the seaweed on our shores. Fits beautifully in the hand and conveys a sense of connectedness to nature.
